web site development

The samples below show various web sites that I have worked on. The thumbnail shows the version of the site that I worked on, so if you click through and see something different, the live site is probably no longer my work.

All of the links on this page open in a new window, so you can simply close it once you're done browsing the external site.

The ArtsNet.org home page for the Institute for the Management of Creative Enterprises.

The site design is by Nikki Sparks, and I provided art direction and Javascript coding.

The four boxes on the home page link to the four centers of IMCE, with additional links to important projects shown using a Javascript rollover.
The CAMT home page at ArtsNet.org, showing an example of the internal layout.

The site design is by Nikki Sparks, and I provided art direction and Javascript coding.

DoReMe.org is a project of CAMT to provide a flexible universal solution for art organizations to take donations, class registrations, and memberships on the web.

Original template by Haebin Kim. I created additional header graphics, based on an existing logo and set CSS parameters.

The eGRANT.org home page, another CAMT project for online grant applications.

The site design is by Sara Marshall, and I provided art direction and cleanup.

A sample interior page for eGRANT.org.

The site design is by Sara Marshall, and I provided art direction and cleanup.

The home page for the National Performing Arts Convention 2004, where most of the national service organizations for non-profit performing arts had their conferences that year.

I created the site design based on an existing logo and fliers.

A sample interior page for the NPAC web site.

I created the site design based on an existing logo and fliers.

The home page for Dance/USA, a national service organization for the professional dance community.

I created the site design based on an existing logo. Because of the diverse nature of the organization, an effort was made to avoid favoring any particular dance style. A random set of pictures across the top of the site rotates through a diverse selection of images.

Another national service organization, the National Alliance for Media Arts and Culture.

The site design was provided to me as a set of flat images, from which I built the site templates, and in some cases rebuilt graphic components. The site's ColdFusion scripting was then finished by Haebin Kim

Going local, until recently, the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre web site was designed and built by myself. (They have a nice new site now)

A project to get kids interested in ballet, the PBT for Kids web site was a fun design that was also a testing ground for an idea (non-square Javascript roll-overs) used in the ArtsNet home page. (Unfortunately, there is no longer a Kids section in their new site)

Co-designed with Nikki Sparks, and I provided Javascript.

Third World Newsreel

Designed and created by myself. I was also responsible for moving their database from mSQL to Oracle, and adding some additional functionality to their existing catalog system in Perl.

Wacongo Dance Company

Designed and created by myself.

The Delaware Artist Roster is based on an artist registry system developed by CAMT

I created graphic elements for the site, based on the print version of the Delaware Artist Roster, for insertion into an existing code base by Haebin Kim.
